the wedge, alts + adds, dulwich hill

Another inner city home with poor orientation. This 1940's Californian Bungalow has a dark and cold living area facing the south-west. This design is to create a split level roof, "the wedge", to maximise light into the rear of the dwelling. An off-form concrete thermal mass wall to the living room will capture winter sun from 10am onwards. We're really looking forward to seeing the colours projected from the high level glazing move across the floor and walls.
